Field Service Engineer

Under general supervision performs complex routine and non-routine factory system testing, on-site installation, and field service. Performs a wide variety of complex technical tasks to assist the Engineering Department, Manufacturing Department, and Quality Department in the testing of mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies, assemblies, and subsystems in linear particle accelerator systems. Works closely with all areas of the company to support success.

System Test Engineer

Test and troubleshoot complex electronic and control systems for linear particle accelerators. Support installation, start-up, operations, servicing and modification of delivered systems as necessary to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction. Electronic systems include power supplies, instrumentation and control, data acquisition, RF power, high voltage, and other related electronics functions, devices, and systems. Responsibilities include managing projects and processes and working independently with limited supervision, as well as coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals. Problems faced are challenging and sometimes complex.

Mechanical Technician

Under limited supervision, performs semi-routine and moderately complex mechanical assembly and testing related to the manufacture of RF ion linear accelerators. Works from drawings and written instructions. Will provide other support functions in the Manufacturing group as directed by the Mechanical Production Supervisor.

Electrical Production Supervisor

Under general supervision, responsible for supervising the electrical production organization and production areas in order to meet production schedules, quality, and cost objectives. Plans and executes electrical shop activities in coordination with project plans and schedules. Directs and develops electrical shop personnel in accordance with company standards and policies. Oversees and assures the set-up of all standard equipment for production and testing. Manages assembly and testing operations. Plans work through use of various integrated materials and labor planning tools/systems and procedures for timely and efficient production of the various linear accelerator’s electrical and electronic assemblies. Under limited supervision, the employee performs complex routine and non-routine factory assembly and test, of linear accelerator electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and subsystems. Supports system integration, adjustment, and testing of newly constructed systems. Supports ongoing quality assurance efforts, including process definition and improvement, procedural and training development, corrective action, etc. Supports maintaining a safe and healthy production work environment, compliance with all mandated H&S regulations. Works closely with all areas of the company to support organizational success.

Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer to provide “hands-on” technical direction to, and coordination of, other project team members (e.g. engineers, and CAD drafters and document control) under some supervision. Responsible for the design (for functionality as well as for cost reduction), implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of highly complex mechanical and electro-mechanical subsystems used in the LINAC products. Project management responsibility includes input into and adherence to budgets and schedules.

Electronics and Software Engineer

Specifies, designs, documents, and troubleshoots complex electronic and control systems that meet customer project requirements from research and development through engineering, production, and factory testing in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Performs varied and complex analysis, design, programming and modification of software for control applications and engineering. Supports installation, start-up, operations, servicing and modification of delivered systems as necessary to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
